Rick Perkins, 62, of Cumberland, was 12th with a 79 and Evan Padovini, 11, of Frostburg, rounded out the 13-player field with a 93. Padovini chose to play the first 12 holes from the short tees and the back 12 from the long tees. His splits reflect the more difficult effort on the back 12 (53) compared to the front 12 (40).

Cox’s ace was the fourth in SMTL history. The league began 14 months ago and the 2022 season came and went without a single ace. Kevin Spradlin (long 3) threw the first ace in SMTL history in Week 2. Then Raynor (short 3) and Perkins (short 10) threw aces on the same Saturday morning in Week 5.
