The facility includes an indoor 20-lane range with a shooting distance of 20 yards, and an outdoor range on 73 acres for traditional and compound shooters.

Open House attendees can try their hand in archery, shotgun and rifle. No previous shooting experience is necessary, and attendees do not need to bring any equipment.

“Youth learn marksmanship, the safe and responsible use of firearms, the principles of hunting and archery, and much more,” according to the National 4-H Shooting Sports website. “The activities of the program and the support of caring adult leaders provide young people with opportunities to develop life skills, self-worth, and conservation ethics.”

There is a $10 annual fee per child to enroll in 4-H.
