Deadline to submit agriculture-related photos is June 29

GREENSBORO — Guilford County Extension would like to display photos depicting the Agriculture we have right here in our county on the walls in the Agricultural center.
This is a great way to pay tribute to the great diversity of agriculture in the county. Guilford County invites all professional and amateur photographers with high quality images of agricultural activities and scenes from the county to please submit their entries. Selected photographers will be honored at our event being held this fall.

The images might reflect active farm operations, agricultural landscapes, agricultural products, farm machinery in action, farm workers, livestock, horticulture, forestry, farmers’ markets, food processing, beekeeping and other agricultural-related scenes. Any images that contain an identifiable person, must present a photo release for that person. This release can be found at http://go.ncsu.edu/mediarelease . You may also obtain a paper copy by visiting the Guilford County office at 3309 Burlington Road, Greensboro, or calling 336-641-2400.
The images should be in color and, preferably in JPG or PNG format. The photos should not be heavily processed with artistic filters. The photos will be enlarged to a minimum of 16 X 20 inches and some as large as 36 X 48 inches, so it is important that the photos have a minimum resolution of 3300 x 4200 pixels.
Each photographer can submit an unlimited number of photos. All photos must have Guilford County subjects, but the photographer does not have to live in the county. All photos selected for display in the center will have signage identifying the photographer and will include descriptive information submitted by the photographer. The county will not identify any image location by address, but may list names of farms, businesses, etc. A few photos may be used in materials to market NC Cooperative Extension in Guilford County and the Agriculture Center, such as its website or social media pages.
A committee including representatives of Cooperative Extension, Farm Bureau, and County Manager’s Office will make the photography selections. The deadline to enter is Friday, June 29, 2018. For any questions, contact Lauren Taubert at 336-641-2400 or lauren_taubert@ncsu.edu.
