Traffic stop results in felony drug charges

CARTHAGE — A Jackson Springs man was arrested June 30 during a narcotics investigation in the Pinebluff area.

Moore County sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop during which deputies found and seized Oxycodone prescription pills, buprenorphine sublingual strips, 114 grams of marijuana, a handgun and U.S. currency.

Christopher Gene Seaford, 31, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a vehicle for the storage of a controlled substance, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance, simple possession of schedule III controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Seaford was ordered held under a $20,000 secured bond and confined to the Moore County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear on July 14 in Moore County District Court.
