David and Ilene Lee celebrate 50 years together

ROCKINGHAM — Rev. David and Ilene Lee celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, a celebration coordinated by their friends and family. There was approximately 160 people in attendance.

Rev. and Mrs. Lee were married on May 30, 1965 at Glenwood FWB Church in Rockingham. They are the parents of Mickey Lee (Heather) and Tonya Burns (Jimmy). They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rev. David Lee was a pastor of Glenwood Free Will Baptist Church for 36 years. Rev. Lee now ministers to the residents of Pine Knoll and Belle Meade Resort and Retirement Villa of Southern Pines.

Ilene Lee is the former owner and administrator of Rockingham Christian Academy. She is presently retired.

Rev. David and Mrs. Lee enjoy gardening, traveling, and visiting with friends and family.

They would like to say thank you to all who helped make the day so special. It was a blessing to be surrounded by so many friends and family.
