Comfort Suites to get a new name

ROCKINGHAM — The Comfort Suites hotel in Rockingham is expected to get a new name — though what that name will be for sure, no one is saying.

Workers covered the Comfort Suites signs earlier this month at the hotel, located at 307 W. Green St. in Rockingham.

A hotel employee confirmed Tuesday morning that the ongoing work and expected name change isn’t slowing business; there are no vacancies from July 3 through July 5 at the hotel, and the facility is sold out the following weekend as well.

The Pee Dee Post has reached out to the Comfort Suites media relations team. This story will be updated when additional information as it becomes available.

    must be a slow day in Rotten Ham if the name change on a hotel is big news.

      It gives the appearance that closing may be in the works and that has further implications to local business than some may assume, not to mention a tax base and tourism dollars loss. Thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case. Thanks Kevin for covering this.
