ROCKINGHAM — The third edition of The Pee Dee Post business cards, which double as limited edition trading cards, will be available next week.

The newest version of PDP cards feature Richmond Senior High School pianist Angela Chen during the Spring Concert on Tuesday on the front. The back shows Dorr Depew and Dr. Ron Bartley, president of Northeastern Technical College, in a canoe during the Great Pee Dee Blue Way Paddle Day on May 17 in Cheraw, S.C.

The current edition features Dr. Wendell Wells, a local physician who earned nine gold medals in April at the 25th annual Senior Games of Richmond County — five in swimming, and one each in golf, standing long jump, shot put and the 100-meter dash. Wells competed in the men’s 70 to 74 age bracket.

On the back is Patricia Clemmons, who earned 17 gold medals in track and field events, swimming, basketball shooting as well as pickle ball singles and doubles contests, all within the women’s 55 to 59 age division in the Senior Games.

“The third edition shows off the arts and the great outdoors,” said Kevin Spradlin, PeeDeePost.com managing editor. “The PDP is proud to showcase these two resources in this manner. Personally, I can’t wait for the fourth edition.”

The first version of PDP business cards featured a photo by local photographer Frankie Moree of a fantastic sunset over the Pee Dee River. On the back was a photo taken by Jimmy McDonald of Spradlin while reporting on the annual Homecoming Parade in 2013 in downtown Rockingham. The images were used with each photographer’s permission and every card gave credit to both photographers.
