Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced Sunday evening the arrest of Michael Tyrone Ryner, 37, for the murder of Anthony Kendall Harrison, 32, of West End.
The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at approximately 10:55 a.m. Sunday reporting that an assault had occurred at Ryner’s residence in the 100 block of Cloverwood Lane in West End.

Upon arriving at Ryner’s residence, deputies found that Harrison had been taken to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Harrison’s body is scheduled for an autopsy on Monday at the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh.
Deputies charged Ryner with one count of murder. Ryner has been confined to the Moore County Detention Center with no bond. Ryner’s first court appearance has been scheduled for May 26.
