DOBBINS HEIGHTS — Officers with the Hamlet Police Department responded on Wednesday to a call in Dobbins Heights about someone allegedly communicating threats. The visit to the neighboring municipality resulted in the arrest of a 57-year-old for drug and weapons charges.
Police said Robert Thomas Fairley was arrested for possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, resisting a public officer and carrying a concealed weapon.
Officers came into contact with Fairly while responding to a call in reference to communicating threats. Police allege Fairly was the individual making those threats, though it does not appear he faces charges related to that act.
Fairley was ordered held on a $10,000 secured bond and confined to the Richmond County Jail.
