Sheriff’s Office probes homicide

sheriffCARTHAGE — Moore County Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced today that deputies responded at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday to the residence located at 699 McIntosh Road in Carthage at approximately 8:15 p.m.

Deputies found the body of Ruby Scott Bullins, 58, inside the residence. Deputies have determined that Bullins was murdered and are currently pursuing several leads in the investigation.

Bullins’ body has been sent to the North Carolina State Medical Examiner’s Office in Raleigh where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death.

No other details of the investigation will be released at this time.
