Lucy Belle Mabe Shankle, 98, of Ellerbe, N.C., passed away April 11, 2015 at Hamlet House.
She was born August 1, 1916 in Stokes County, N.C., a daughter of the late George Wilkins and Lucy Brown Wilkins.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Funeral Home, Ellerbe, with the Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Ellerbe Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:45 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
