Mr. Joseph Daniel “Danny” Bourgeois, 76, of 294 Boyd Lake Road, Hamlet, N.C., died, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Hayes, La., August 5, 1939, son of Walter and Lucy Broussard Bourgeois.

He was a member of Outreach for Jesus and a retired veteran of the U.S. Army with 21 years of service.
His is survived by his wife, Bernice Cobbler Bourgeois of the home; his mother, Lucy Broussard Bourgeois of Hamlet; daughters, Donna Marie, Naurice Lynn Britt and Nancy J. Hutchins; sons, Joseph D. Bourgeois Jr. and David Lane Bourgeois Sr.; brothers, John Bourgeois, Lawrence Daigle, Timothy Burnitt and Darryl Burnitt; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Harrington Funeral Home.
The funeral will begin at 2 p.m with Pastor Marvin Taylor, Rev. Gary Richardson and Rev. Greg Locklear will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Richmond Memorial Park, Rockingham.
Harrington Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the Bourgeois family.
