HAMLET — Richmond Community College will welcome representatives from North Carolina State University to campus Thursday, April 30, to provide college admissions tips to local students.
“Preparing students for college is a process that requires the right information and preparation,” said Dr. Sam Pardue, associate dean and director of academic programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at NC State University. “Students in the seventh through 12th grades, as well their parents, grandparents, family or friends, are invited to join us for this event.”
The presentation, “Foundation for Success,” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cole Auditorium on the main campus of RCC in Hamlet. There will be a reception of light refreshments before the information session on admission strategies for college.

Partners in higher education
NC State University and Richmond Community College have signed articulation agreements for transfer programs in Agricultural Science and Poultry Science. In these programs, students complete two years at RCC, where they earn an associate degree, and then enter NC State as a junior to complete a bachelor’s degree.
