McInnis appointed to Yadkin-Pee Dee River Basin Advisory Commission

RALEIGH — The office of Sen. Tom McInnis (R-Richmond) announced Tuesday that he has been appointed to serve on the Yadkin/Pee Dee River Basin Advisory Commission by Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger (R-Rockingham).

His term is effective immediately.

The commission is made up of 15 members appointed to provide guidance and recommendations about the Yadkin/Pee Dee River Basin in order to maintain the river basin for all its residents.  Please see N.C. General Statute § 77-111 for more information.

“I am honored to have been selected by Sen. Berger to sit on this important advisory committee,” said McInnis in a news release. “The Yadkin/Pee Dee River provides a great economic benefit to the North Carolina Piedmont and impacts every county in my district except Scotland.  I am very interested in keeping the river basin clean and usable for all of our citizens.”

“Sen. McInnis is a committed public servant, and this commission will benefit from his knowledge and expertise,” said Berger. “I thank him for his willingness to serve the people of North Carolina in this new capacity.”
