ROCKINGHAM — Grab your goggles, gloves and lab coat and head to Discovery Place KIDS-Rockingham in May. This month we are doing all kinds of experiments that are hands-on and exploratory as we discover our inner scientists in theLab.
While you are experimenting, don’t miss these five special events:
- May 4-10– Children’s Book Week- In honor of Children’s Book Week we are celebrating books for young children and the love of reading. Join us all week long at 11:15 a.m. & 2:15 p.m.as we dive into the pages of our favorite childhood stories.
- We love teachers! May 4-9 is teacher appreciation week and we are thanking educators!
o For little guests who want to say thank you to a special teacher, join us on Tuesday, May 5 to make your own special thank you gift for your teacher in the Studio.
o On Saturday, May 9 teachers and educators will receive free admission to any Discovery Place Inc. museum! Register at Admissions with a valid school or homeschool ID, and you plus one guest will be admitted free.
- Summer Camps are selling fast!From a journey under the sea to Lego construction, little guests can explore an adventure in play with camps for all ages and interests! Check out our Camp Guide (attached) to find the perfect summer camp for your child. Camps are available for guests ages 3-6 and ages 7-10 with sessions running June 22 – August 14.
- May 9 and 10– Mother’s Day Weekend: Spend some quality time with your family for Mother’s Day! Our Creative Play Professionals will be assisting little guests as they make a special gift for their moms and other special family members.
