Bikes rumble through Mt. Gilead

MOUNT GILEAD — More than two dozen riders participated in the 2nd annual Uwharrie Mountain Rumble charity motorcycle ride on Saturday.

The event started and finished in Mount Gilead but included a scene tour of approximately 75 miles around the rural landscape to Troy and back.

Proceeds from the event benefitted the North Carolina Masonic Charities. The event finished at Flashbacks from The Ford Place in Mount Gilead and was coordinate by Blackmer Lodge 127, School Street, Mount Gilead.
