HAMLET — The University of North Carolina Pembroke will host an open house on the campus of Richmond Community College from 10 a.m. until noon and from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 18.
The event, which will be held in Room 103 of the Grimsley building on RCC’s main campus in Hamlet, will highlight four-year degrees that can be obtained without leaving the Richmond County campus, as well as showcase all of UNCP’s offerings.
“The Office of Distance Education is reevaluating the curriculum currently being offered at RCC,” said UNCP’s RCC Campus Administrative Coordinator Kathy McCoin. “We are collecting and evaluating data from our students to determine their curriculum needed, in order for them to continue their education and reach their full potential and dreams. In addition, we are reviewing the current undergraduate program offering to determine which curriculum we need to offer additional courses and also which new programs we need to incorporate into our program offering. Also, we are considering offering a MPA graduate program as well.”
UNC-Pembroke currently offers 41 undergraduate programs, as well as 18 graduate programs in business and education. Bachelor degrees available through the RCC campus include Sociology, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, Interdisciplinary Studies, Applied Information Technology, Applied Professional Studies, Hospitality and Public and Non-Profit Administration.
