The driver of a Nissan Altima involved in a one-car crash Saturday calls a family member for a ride home.
The driver, who was the lone occupant in the 2009 Nissan Altima, said he was traveling westbound on Northside Drive shortly before 6 p.m. when he “hit the brakes” and suddenly lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle crossed the center line, flipped at least once and traveled approximately 146 feet before coming to a rest on all four wheels facing east.
“I guess I was going too fast,” the driver said.
Volunteers from Northside Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene, as did personnel from FirstHealth EMS and the State Highway Patrol.
It was not immediately known if the driver was cited for a traffic violation. The scene was cleared at about 6:29 p.m.
