Motlow Lane man charged with robbery, assault

HAMLET — Detectives with the Hamlet Police Department arrested Cadara Antwon Armstrong on Friday, alleging he was the man behind a robbery and assault that took place inside the home of the victim the day before.

Hamlet_policeArmstrong is charged with one felony count of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two misdemeanor counts of assault by pointing a gun.

The 28-year-old Rockingham man was held on $10,000 secured bond and placed at the Richmond County Jail. The arrest was assisted by the Office of Probation and Parole. Armstrong is scheduled to appear on April 23 in Richmond County District Court.
