Duke Energy commits to RCC’s EUSRT program

HAMLET — Duke Energy continued its commitment to the lectric Utility Substation and Relay Technology (EUSRT) program at Richmond Community College on Tuesday by presenting an oversized check for $50,000.

David McNeill made the presentation to RCC President Dr. Dale McInnis during the RCC Board of Trustees regular monthly meeting.

“It’s a unique program,” McNeill said. “We look to make an investment each y ear. It’s making a difference in the industry and we appreciate all that you’re doing here.”

McInnis was quick to grab the check.

“I’m gonna take it again before you take it back,” McInnis quipped.

McInnis noted that Duke Energy has supported the RCC program since its inception. As for the money, “we’ll put it to good use.”
