More than 1,100 without power in Rockingham

ROCKINGHAM — Much of downtown Rockingham went dark shortly before 7:30 p.m. Monday.

power_outageAccording to a Duke Energy online power outage map, there are 1,126 customers without power as of 8:06 p.m.

The outage was caused by “damage to our equipment,” according to the online report. The online report indicates power could be restored by 9:30 pm.
