Norma Ann Norris Byrne, 79, of Rockingham, N.C., passed away Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Mrs. Byrne was born Jan. 5, 1936 in Monmouth County, N.J., a daughter of the late Eddie and Josephine Cooke Kuser.
She was manager of the Merita Bakery Store, retiring after 18 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Rusty Hatchell.
Surviving are her children, Debi Sellers (Mike), Marilyn Hatchell, Eddie Byrne (Michelle) Buddy Byrne; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane (Bill) Lassiter; best friend, Margie Cannon; several nieces and nephews and Mary Lou Sullivan
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Crestview Baptist Church with Rev. Robbie Stewart. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church and at other times at the home.
