In an email sent by college President John Dempsey to campus faculty, staff and students, Dempsey said that Baldwin was transported by EMS but passed away later Monday morning.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family,” Dempsey shared. “I would like to thank the students, staff and faculty who assisted in this emergency situation. Professor Ken Fields was especially heroic in his efforts to save Mr. Baldwin, but a number of folks from our Security, Physical Plant, our EMS department and others assisted as well. They have my thanks and the thanks of Mr. Baldwin’s family.”
