Applications are being accepted to fill the unexpired term of Tom McInnis, who was elected in the November general election to the position of District 25 state senator. McInnis was elected to a four-year term that expires in 2016.
Those interested in filling the position can apply in writing to the Richmond County Board of Education by Feb. 17. Applicants are asked to include their qualifications as well as to elaborate on why they would like to join the board.
