2 arrested in breaking and entering

ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arrested on Dec. 27 a man and woman in connection with breaking and entering into an old store on U.S. 74 west of Rockingham.

Tammy Renee Thompson, 47, Old Charlotte Highway, and Jason Kevin Saunders, 48, Yates Hill Road, both were charged with breaking and entering.

Saunders also was charged with larceny after the breaking and entering and three counts of failure to appear.

The two individuals were placed in Richmond County Jail. Saunders was held on a $9,000 secured bond and Thompson held on a $4,000 secured bond.
