Joyner appointed to national veteran post

Jeff Joyner of American Legion Post 147, Rockingham, was recently appointed Alternate National Executive Committeeman from North Carollina to the National American Legion.

As such he will attend national conventions representing North Carolina Legionnaires in that post supporting the state’s National Executive Committeeman.
Joyner said all such committeemen from across the United States meet twice a year on the national level and again at the National Legion Convention.
Joyner also serves as a liaison for the American Legion to the North Carolina legislature.
He presented a report Friday night at a meeting of Legion Post 147.
