ROCKINGHAM — Richmond County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 49-year-old Rockingham man with a variety of drug charges.
Charles Ray Johnson was arrested Dec. 23 at his Broadway Street home for having controlled substances in his residence and having paraphernalia to induce the controlled substances, and to sell.
Johnson was charged with possession with intent to sell and distribute a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Johnson was placed in Richmond County Jail and held on a $15,000 unsecured bond. He is scheduled to appear on Jan. 15 in Richmond County District Court.
