CISCommunities in School of Richmond County is seeking volunteers for the after school programs at Monroe Avenue Elementary & Hamlet Middle School.

Program hours are from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Make a difference today by joining us as a mentor, tutor and buddy to students.

Clean driving record required, Minimum of 10 years’ experience. Food and lodging provided as schedule permits. Must be comfortable with animals and cleaning of kennels. Starting pay is $50 per day.

HospiceRichmond County Hospice Inc. would like to invite you to volunteer at “Your Hometown Hospice,” located on U.S. Route 1 in Rockingham.

There are have several opportunities for individuals of all ages, including but not limited to: patient care (in the home or at our Hospice Haven), office support, bereavement, volunteen program, and fundraisers/special events. Training for patient care volunteers will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 10, Feb. 12, Feb. 17 and Feb. 19 at the administrative office.

Individuals must attend all sessions in order to become a patient care volunteer. To sign up for training or if you have any questions regarding volunteering with Richmond County Hospice, contact Lisa O’Neal, volunteer coordinator, at 910-997-4464.

rcaaRichmond County Animal Advocates are seeking volunteers and fosters for our program.

As a volunteer, you would assist at fundraisers and adoption events, network online and help foster animals that are in our program. We are looking for animal lovers with lots of energy and goal driven.
