Staff report
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather advisory for the remainder of tonight into tomorrow morning for high winds.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for tonight due to the possibly of high winds.
“Strong southwesterly winds may gust as high as 35 to 45 mph in advance of an approaching cold front during the day Monday,” the advisory reads. “Wind gusts of this magnitude are capable of knocking down old or weakened trees, especially when the ground is soaked from recent rainfall.”
Rain is expected Wednesday, and the precipitation could mix with wet snow during the midday and afternoon hours. No accumulation is expected. However, any lingering moisture on area roadways could result in patchy black ice as temperatures return to the upper 20s to lower 30s late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
