Obituary: Richard Brigman

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Richard Arlen “Dinky” Brigman, 77, of Long Drive, Rockingham, passed peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014 at his home.

flagHe was born April 5, 1937, son of the late John Franklin and Essie Greene Brigman. Dinky retired from CSX and served our country in Berlin, Germany in the United States Army. Dinky was preceded in death by his brother, Howard E. Brigman, and his brothers-in-law, Richard Milham and Bill Goodman.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ussery Brigman, of the home; his daughter, Dana M. Brigman of Weddington, NC, brothers, John T. “Toady” Brigman and  Robert F. “Bob” Brigman, sisters, Mickey Milham and Pat Goodman, and a sister-in-law Geraldine Brigman.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014 at the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Rockingham.

The family request privacy at the graveside services.
