Staff report
An East Rockingham woman was arrested Monday by Moore County sheriff’s deputies after deputies found she had allegedly obtained prescriptions for controlled substances from six different health care providers in the Moore County area.
Deputies determined that between Oct. 20, 2013 and Oct. 17, 2014, Tanya Lee Roscoe, 42, of Safie 6th Street, had used 25 prescriptions to obtain 482 dosage units of Hydrocodone and 1,355 dosage units of Oxycodone. Deputies determined that Roscoe did not make any of the doctors aware that she was being prescribed these same medications by other doctors.
Roscoe was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by misrepresentation/withholding information from a healthcare provider, three counts of trafficking opiates by possession, two counts of felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor possession of a Schedule III controlled substance.
Roscoe was held on a $10,000 secured bond and placed in the Moore County Detention Center.
