Wilkes celebrates 100th with family, friends

IMG_6717HAMLET — Beulah Terry Wilkes, of Hamlet, celebrated her 100th birthday on Saturday, Oct. 25 surrounded by family and friends.

Her sons, Archie and Eddie Wilkes, and her many grandchildren hosted the party at the E.F. Blue home in Hamlet.

Refreshments were provided for guests during the party as many friends dropped by to visit her.

Mrs. Wilkes is a long-time member of Marks Creek Presbyterian Church in Hamlet, where she sang in the choir for  many years.

She said she would dance when she turned 100, so with “My Forever Friend” playing on the record player, Wilkes danced with her son, Archie.
