Capt. Scott Waters said the honor was “based on years of service, education and training.”

Glenn joined the department on Jan. 25, 2004, and currently is sergeant of the Governor’s Highway Safety Program.

Waters called Glenn “a dedicated … loyal officer to the city of Hamlet” who also works with the city’s fire department as a firefighter and medical responder.
