Modern Woodmen chapter members as well as members of our local Modern Woodmen Youth Club volunteered this past Wednesday evening helping to pack the food in bags as well as distribute the food that our chapter helped to purchase.

The initiative is part of the youth group’s Care and Share Project.

Local youth from the Modern Woodmen Richmond County Chapter donates $250 annually to a local food pantry to purchase can goods as well as non perishable goods.

This year our recipient was the food pantry located at The Foundation of Jesus Christ Deliverance Temple located at 4409 Main St. in Ellerbe. They have a food pantry every Wednesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. where food items are distributed to those in need.

Our local Modern Woodmen office is located at 230 E. Franklin St. in Rockingham.
