A man was jailed in connection with several motor vehicle break-ins last week.
A news release from Capt. Rodney Tucker, acting chief of the Hamlet Police Department, said Jonathan Quinn Williams, 22, was charged with seven counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, six counts of larceny and one count of larceny of a motor vehicle. Southern Pines police also charged Quinn with possession of stolen property.
Police said Quinn broke into several vehicles and stole one. Offices with the Southern Pines Police Department located the vehicle on Sept. 4. After a vehicular chase, police said Quinn wrecked the stolen vehicle then ran on foot but was arrested.
Police said several items located inside the stolen vehicle came from many of the other vehicle break-ins.
Quinn is being held in Moore County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond. Police said the investigation is continuing.
