Owens joins Rockingham PD

Jan Owens was recently sworn in as the newest officer with the Rockingham Police Department.

City Clerk Gwendolyn Swinney conducted the brief ceremony at City Hall. Owens brings nearly four years of law enforcement experience to her position as patrol officer.

“We are pleased to have Patrol Officer Owens join us here at the Rockingham Police Department” said Chief Billy Kelly in a news release.  “She comes to us with about four years experience.  She is excited to join our department because she has lived here her whole life.  She will be assigned to the Patrol Division after completing the Field Training program.”
