A man accused of running a meth lab from his Aslington Street home in Rockingham was arrested again on Aug. 26, this time for using the home as a base of operations to sell marijuana.
Kevin Anthony Freeman, 27, was arrested by Richmond County sheriff’s deputies for selling marijuana. He was booked into the Richmond County Jail on a $7,500 unsecured bond on charges of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, selling/delivering a Schedule VI controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.
Freeman appeared before a magistrate and ordered held on a $25,000 bond.
On June 19, Freeman was charged with one felony count of manufacturing methamphetamines and one felony count of possession or distribution of chemicals as a precursor to manufacture meth after officers with the Rockingham Police Department, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigation investigated.
No further information was available about either case Wednesday evening.
