DPK: Educators visit free each September Saturday

113Hey teachers, want to know how Discovery Place KIDS can supplement your curriculum?

Educators are invited to visit our Museum free of charge on Saturdays in September.

Starting September 6, register at the admissions desk with a valid school ID and you plus one guest will be admitted FREE. Enjoy an adventure in play as you explore educational and engaging activities in a unique setting.

Plus, you also will receive a packet of goodies including our new Educator Guides, special coupons and a chance to win a FREE field trip for your class (transportation not included).

Imagine the memorable learning opportunities your students could have with a Discovery Place KIDS field trip!

Lessons about community helpers come to life when kids can try out the role of firefighter, veterinarian, farmer or chef. Bernoulli blowers, pulley chairs and other simple machines let kids play with principles of physics, while a walk-through heart provides a larger-than-life anatomy lesson and the water table turns sink or float science into hands-on fun.

During your visit, inquire about our classes, which align with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study, National Science Standards, North Carolina Essential Standards and Foundations: Early Learning Standards for North Carolina Preschoolers and Strategies for Guiding Their Success.

Maybe you’d prefer to have our educators come to you? Discovery Place KIDS offers ScienceReach classes and presentations that are perfect for school assemblies or afterschool programs.

Learn more during Educator Saturdays in September.
