Officers with the Hamlet Police Department on Wednesday arrested an 18-year-old man and charged him with having sex with a 13-year-old.

William Marcus Moore, has been charged with two counts of statutory rape for having sexual intercourse with a Hamlet teen. The incident was reported to the police department on Tuesday.
Moore was held on a $5,000 secured bond and placed in the Richmond County Jail.
