Staff report

Entertainment media outlet TMZ is reporting that Rockingham native Taylor “Lil’ Bit’ Wright is quitting “Party Down South,” a reality television show aired on Country Music Television.

It’s alleged that Wright is quitting because “she fears for her safety with all the craziness that goes on in the house. … she also has strong religious beliefs and feels the show undermines her relationship with Jesus.”

On her Facebook fan page — which has more than 61,000 followers — Wright posted that “yes, it’s true. God has a different plant for me.”

The show, filmed in Murrells Inlet, S.C., is produced by the same people who created Jersey Shore.
