The descendants of the late Clyde and Julia Wilson of Hamlet, N.C., gathered on Saturday July 19, 2014 at the Seaboard Restaurant on Charlotte Street in Hamlet. This was the first reunion in 10 years.

There were 9 children and 5 are still living. Clyde E. Wilson, Jr in Summerville, S.C.; Donald W. Wilson in Avon, Conn.: Ruth W. Campbell, Hamlet; Yvonne W. Graham, Hamlet; and Nancy W. Pollard, Durham.

Everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch, visiting with family and meeting new additions to the family. Made available for people to enjoy were scrapbooks filled with memorabilia of Julia and Clyde Wilson, old family pictures, newspaper clippings and group pictures from other reunions.

Before leaving for home a tour of the Seaboard Depot was enjoyed by young and old. Our family roots were with the RR so this seemed to be a fitting ending to a fun day together.

Our next Wilson Reunion is planned for 2016.
