A Richmond County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team assisted the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s violent criminal apprehension team in the capture of a man with a long, violent rap sheet as law enforcement officers raided a room at Budgetel Inn & Suites shortly before 9 a.m. Friday.
The motel is located at 114 W. Broad Ave. at South Lee Street in downtown Rockingham.
Police wanted Osco Lothario Jackson, 26, for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury.
Jackson, a convicted felon, was arrested in September 2013 at a west Charlotte Bojangles for threatening employees and firing a weapon into the air. No one was injured in that incident. He was also arrested a month ago for allegedly assaulting a female.
Jackson was taken into custody without incident. He has been transported back to Mecklenburg County.
