The display, entitled “Summertime,” offers viewers 15 full-color photographs of children enjoying their summer break from school in Rockingham. The photos encompass nearly a dozen different activities and events in the city, from the Rockingham Police Department’s Junior Police Academy and National Night Out to Dannell Ellerbe’s youth football camp at Richmond Senior High School, the Young People’s Theatre production of Super Silly Superheroesswimming Browder Park, bowling at Striker’s Bowling Center and summertime reading activities at Leath Memorial Library.
Who knows? They might be children you know.
The pictures were contributed by The Pee Dee Post, who has covered a variety of events in the city this summer. The Post has snapped nearly 28,000 photos since its launch on April 28.
