Hamlet police officers arrested on Tuesday a man wanted in connection with a home break-in and theft of a firearm stemming from an Aug. 5 incident.

Investigators allege that Dustin Wayne Coble, 24, of Hamlet, took advantage of the absence of the owners of a Hamlet Avenue property and took several items of value from the home, including a firearm.

Coble has been charged with one felony count of larceny and two counts of larceny of a firearm. Police said most of the items that were taken from the home have been recovered.

Coble has been placed in the Richmond County Detention Center and is being held on a $7,500 secured bond.
