Free workshop targets entrepreneurs

LAURINBURG — Have you ever dreamed of being your own boss and working from home?

SBC-LogoThe Small Business Center of Richmond Community College will be offering a free seminar Tuesday, Aug. 19, highlighting what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

Tim Dannelly, author of Selling The American Dream – How To Enjoy Making A Living As A Sales Professional, will lead the three-hour workshop that will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the F. Diane Honeycutt Center located at 600 McLean Street in Laurinburg.

“This seminar is designed for the person who has a burning passion to start or improve the performance of their own business,” Dannelly says. “If you have an idea for a particular business and you’re ready to take the risk and do the work necessary to succeed in the American marketplace, I’m ready to show you how!”

Dannelly believes effective planning, execution and marketing are involved in all successful businesses.

“Since the best surprise is ‘no’ surprise, I’ll show you how to learn the success factors present in your market right now. You’ll learn what your competition can unintentionally teach you, and the results of correct pricing coupled with effective sales techniques,” said Dannelly.

Dannelly, who experienced growth of one of his own businesses from 0 to 80 employees in a few months, says your business will likely NOT remain in your home office.

“Your business needs to grow in order to succeed, so you’ll learn how to hire and train the best employees,” he said.

Registration for the seminar is available online at tiny.cc/sbcseminars, by email ddhardison@richmondcc.edu or by calling Deborah Hardison, Small Business Center Director, at 910-410-1687. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome.
