The Moore County Sheriff’s Office announced at about 12:03 p.m. Thursday that Donald Floyd Crowell has been found safe.
Crowell, who has a disability, left his home at about 8 p.m. Wednesday and did not reach his destination. Crowell was spotted on Highway 64 east of Siler City at approximately 8:45 a.m. this morning.
The alert issued by the Moore County Sheriff’s Office at about 11 a.m. Thursday indicates there is a “significant threat” to life or property.
Crowell is a white male, 70 years old. Crowell is operating a 2013 Nissan Titan truck displaying a North Carolina registration plate CES-4082. The truck is dark blue in color.
Crowell is approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He has salt and pepper hair and was last seen wearing a T-shirt with a pocket, blue jean shorts, and blue slip-on shoes.
Crowell left his residence at approximately 8:00 pm on July 16, 2014 and did not reach his destination. Crowell was spotted on Hwy 64 east of Siler City at approximately 8:45 am this morning.
