WASHINGTON D.C. — Nine Richmond Senior High Technology Student Association members attended the TSA National Conference from June 27 through July 1 in Washington D.C.

The Scientific Visualization (SciVis) Team members Kyle Haywood, Nick Carter, Tyrik Thompson, and Logan Northcutt won first place in their event.
This competition consisted of producing a short movie illustrating a scientific or technological concept. The SciVis team members used computer software to model and animate a virtual 3D environment that explained how Global Positioning Systems work.
Daniel Jackson was a Top 10 finalist in Computer Aided Drafting 2D Architecture. Other team members participated in competitions including: Technology Problem Solving, Structural Engineering, Technical Sketching, Flight Endurance and Dragster Design.
More than 6,000 participants from 34 states and Germany were at the conference.
Greg Norton and Fred Morris are the advisors for the RSHS Technology Student Association.
