Members of the Richmond County Photography Group made winning for Betty McIntyre twice as nice.
Up for grabs at tonight’s meeting at Arts Richmond were two titles, with the theme “Windows” for June and “Sunset” for July. McIntyre, of Rockingham, was honored by her peers as No. 1 in both assignments. She also was the “Red” assignment in May.
McIntyre said the sunset photo was taken at the Pee Dee River at the dam in Rockingham.
“Sunset picture are some of my favorite to shoot, with all the beautiful blending of colors,” McIntyre shared with The Pee Dee Post. “No two are ever like.”
McIntyre’s window assignment also garnered top honors. Her subject, taken with the same Fujifilm HS10 camera that took the sunset photo, was the stained glass window at First United Methodist Church in downtown Rockingham.
The Richmond County Photography Group is supervised by Jimmy McDonald.
