Jim Crooke carries awards into retirement

Jim Crooke, Hamlet High School Class of 1966, received multiple retirement honors from his fellow Hamlet native and employer, North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin, in recognition of 40 years working for the state Department of Insurance.  

Among other awards, Crooke received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine. His retirement began July 1. Joining in the celebration were agency Controller Bennie Aiken and his division co-workers.
