DOBBINS HEIGHTS — Obstacle courses, music, face painting, swimming and plenty more entertained kids and adults of Richmond County on Saturday during the town’s Community Safe Celebration at Dobbins Heights Community Park.
The event was sponsored by the Alcohol and Drug Services and Citizens of Richmond for Responsible Living.
Though the park’s basketball court remains closed, the 3-on-3 basketball tournament was scheduled to take place — but not in Dobbins Heights. Instead, Councilman Tyre Holloway was accepting team and individual sign-ups to play at South Hamlet Park on Lackey Street.
Play is expected to begin at 4:30 p.m.
